Founding technology leadership on an equity stake. Technology strategy and architecture across AI, full-stack SaaS and mobile, for over 100 client projects in healthcare, retail, banking and enterprise.

• Built the engineering organisation from the ground up and ran it through to the company’s acquisition in 2026, acquirer undisclosed, then led the technology side of the transition.
• Carried the company to its acquisition on a product I built: moved it off services onto an enterprise ERP and POS platform, sold into over 30 enterprise clients across the UAE and India.
• Clients run it across over 50 branches in production, in F&B, general trading and retail, with a single outlet clearing around 1,300 bills a day.
• Retained the core engineering team across four years and through the acquisition, moving them off client projects onto the product as the company shifted, the team of 22 on the product included.
• Owned the P&L for the product business unit, and the annual engineering budget across headcount, tooling and cloud.
• Presented monthly to the shareholders on technology strategy, spend and delivery.
• Closed the 2026 acquisition with a remediation plan agreed, running the technical due diligence and preparing the data room across code quality, architecture and scalability, IP ownership and open-source licence audit, security posture and data handling, and key-person risk.
• Built the platforms so clients could certify on top of them, including HIPAA (ISO 27001, GDPR, UAE data protection).
• Held EDR, the flagship client platform carrying over $50M in annual client revenue, at over 99.95% uptime, and grew it alongside the SEO function with 3 engineers of my own (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, centralised ELK).
• Led an engineering team of up to 50, and over 100 engineers in total across the client portfolio, and ran the client-facing side: demos, solutioning, budgets and dates.
• Held technical leadership for the architects on every track, coaching each on design and delivery (Java and Node backends, iOS, Android, Flutter, Angular, React).
• Led an AI testing framework for a client: it read test cases, wrote and ran Playwright suites, and fixed the bugs it found, on Java services with a Python AI module.
• Moved that framework off React and Vue onto Angular 18 and maintained it through 20, shipping to Azure and to on-premise AWS for medical clients (self-hosted Jenkins, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Prototyped a LangChain proof of concept for a healthcare client: face-ID sign-in, then an assistant on the user’s own face answering from their email and OneDrive (OpenAI, connected APIs, Node.js, Python).
• Set the architecture standard all of the over 100 delivered projects were built against, and owned the modernization backlog that carried the Angular estate from 11 through to 22 (C4, UML, cloud Well-Architected Framework).
• Ran Scrum delivery out of five countries on one architecture standard, with the same SLA, design reviews and release gates in every one (India, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Malaysia).
• Cut release cadence from every 4 to 8 weeks to weekly across the whole portfolio, on CI/CD I built for it shipping containerised, cloud-native builds (self-hosted Jenkins, CircleCI, Azure DevOps).
• Hired over 200 engineers in four years to staff over 100 client projects across India and the GCC, screening around 5 candidates a day at peak.

IT leadership for one of Oman’s largest engineering contractors - 5,000+ staff, an order book over $300M - across roughly 50 subsidiaries in construction, hospitality, farming, crushing, manufacturing and F&B, operating in Oman, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and India.

• Owned group IT spend of $17M to $25M a year across roughly 50 subsidiaries, covering the whole estate from CCTV, cabling and racks through to servers, hardware and software.
• Cut it by about $294K a month, roughly $3.5M a year, a 14% to 20% reduction, by running competitive multi-vendor bidding across all four regions.
• Held vendor negotiation and contract authority across the group, presenting monthly to the group’s ownership on IT spend, risk and transformation progress.
• Led digital transformation across the four-country operation, running an IT function of over 25 people: 8 on software including 2 contractors, 7 on hardware, and the support staff behind both.
• Ran the Muscat development team hands-on, writing code alongside them and reviewing every change before it merged, and travelled to each of the four sites to scope what it needed.
• Moved every process off paper onto systems built in-house across all 4 offices, with a reporting hierarchy that stuck.
• Cut the support team’s load enough to move them onto work-sharing and a new testing function, by replacing walk-ups and phone chasing with digital request flows.
• Put task and ticket monitoring behind every project, and AI note-taking into meetings (WRENCH SmartProject, Zoho low-code).

Co-founded and led alongside the VAAS role.

Co-founded an AI healthtech startup and set its technology vision, architecture and roadmap, leading the engineering team and vendor partners across India and the UAE.

• Took doctor and patient apps live in over 10 clinics with tens of clinicians and hundreds of patients, and designed the architecture behind them on web and mobile, covering scheduling, records, prescriptions, billing and clinician-patient messaging.
• Built all 4 surfaces on one backend, with Redis caching the hot paths; the web front end tried Next.js, then Nuxt, before settling on Angular 11 through 14 (NestJS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Flutter).
• Set the release bar the Cliniqally apps shipped against: every change reviewed before merge, over 80% test coverage, shipping weekly (self-hosted Jenkins into Azure).
• Took crash-free sessions from 10% to 90% and cut the defect rate to 5%.
• Built the company from the first line of code to its acquisition in 2026, acquirer undisclosed: a 30-person engineering team including the architects on each surface, plus vendor partners across India and the UAE.
• Raised about $500K with my co-founder, carried the company P&L, and presented monthly to the investor board on technology strategy, spend and progress.
• Ran the technical due diligence for the 2026 exit, covering architecture, IP and open-source licences, security and key-person risk.
• Took the platform through audit against HIPAA and Indian and UAE health-data rules.
• Freed roughly 18 months of runway by replacing budgeted vendor spend with in-house build on the platform.

Hands-on delivery engineering on enterprise programmes for global clients: IoT platforms for Telstra, ERP and internal applications for Pickles and First American, and internal AI/ML models. Two years deep in other people’s codebases, between running my own engineering functions.

• Delivered IoT platforms and R&D initiatives for Telstra, Australia’s largest telecom, and owned the integration architecture behind them: an API layer in front, device telemetry through an event-driven backbone (Google Apigee, Azure Service Bus).
• Extended the ERP and internal tooling behind Pickles, Australia’s largest auctioneer, and rebuilt internal systems and ERP workflows for First American, a US title-insurance firm.
• Ran AI/ML model R&D for internal processes: built and tuned the models on SageMaker, written test-first and shipped as microservices on Azure.
• Held over 80% automated test coverage against SonarCloud and ESLint standards, and owned the pipelines and deployments behind the Telstra and First American platforms (Jenkins, Kubernetes).
• Ran Scrum calls across several project teams alongside the delivery work, tracked in Jira, and wrote the UML design documents every Neudesic client programme required.

Designed enterprise chatbots and internal applications for KPMG on Node.js, Angular, .NET and Azure, wired into the systems their audit practice ran on every day.

• Built the chatbot layered over KPMG’s audit process, used by over 1,000 people across the KPMG group, and maintained the flagship audit application behind it.
• Cut load times by about 30% for the auditors in it every day, migrating the front end off AngularJS 1.6/1.7 onto Angular 5 and then 6.
• Worked directly with Microsoft on the Bot Framework build behind the KPMG assistant, and kept the application wired into the firm’s core systems.
• Ran Scrum and day-to-day coordination for the onsite delivery team: sprint planning, standups and code review.
• Ran the IoT lab, Orion’s own space for prototyping sensor and hardware ideas before they reached client work, and helped run the server deployments behind the client releases.

Led a team building AI-powered chatbot platforms with ML and NLP, owning code quality, version management, and technical hiring.

• Took ownership of the ML and AI division when the engineering manager left, on top of my own team.
• Architected AI chatbot platforms for 5 clients plus 3 internal production bots, reaching thousands of learners.
• Shipped every model as a Docker container onto Kubernetes (AIML, NLP, ontology, scikit-learn, deep learning).
• Halved the hosting bill by migrating the whole estate of over 80 servers from AWS to Azure, and ran it after alongside a team of IIT interns (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Piloted YugabyteDB while it was still launching, against the PostgreSQL, Cassandra and Redis layer already under the bot platform.
• Hired the over 50 engineers who joined my own teams, running technical recruitment end to end from sourcing and screening to onboarding.
• Built the company’s internal tooling, including the messaging platform the whole company ran on.

Promoted twice in 31 months, from PHP Web Developer to Programmer to Lead Developer on the Innovation Team, delivering chatbots, voice skills, mobile apps and e-commerce serving over 150,000 daily visitors.

• Ran product incubation on the Innovation Team: found the technology, built the proof of concept, took it to customers, then handed each product to the sales and operations teams inside Astro-Vision and held it to its growth targets.
• Presented to the board and sat in investment and acquisition discussions, including Wedviser, where the technical view was needed in the room - unusual at this grade, and a consequence of running the incubation function.
• Directed several delivery teams and held the review gate on what merged, putting code review in place as a standard I carried into every team afterwards.
• Shaped the architecture and shipped features on Clickastro, still past 1M installs at 4.4 stars on Google Play.
• Built features across two sister companies in the group: the Malayogam matrimony app, shipped first on Cordova and later rebuilt native, live today at over 100,000 installs and 4.1 stars, and the first proof of concept for Wedviser.
• Architected 3 client chatbots plus Alexa and Google voice skills and cross-platform apps.
• Roughly doubled traffic to over 150,000 daily visitors across more than 70 services through A/B testing and SEO, running Astro-Vision’s consumer web platforms, Clickastro and Indian Astrology Software.
• Held those platforms up on AWS servers I managed myself, with Redis keeping the hot data in memory instead of hitting the database on every request.
• Shipped iOS and Android apps exceeding 100,000 installs.
